A Level  

A Level French is designed to build on your knowledge and skills acquired at GCSE Level. The areas studied will stimulate your interest and will enable you to learn more about French culture. You will also develop your communication, critical thinking, and research skills.

• Social Issues and Trends  

• Political and Artistic Culture 

• Grammar  

• Works: Literacy Texts and Films 

• Individual Research Project 

Assessment 

70% Listening, Reading and Writing 

30% Speaking  

Where Next 

Competence in a foreign language is a very marketable qualification. Expert knowledge of foreign languages is in great demand both in the UK and abroad and yet less than 1% of the workforce in business possesses it.
